Regular price £675.00

The Ultar balanced headphone conditioner is designed for users of high-end headphone amps and headphones. Just like any other part of the replay chain, the amp-headphone interface is prone to the damaging effects of acoustic vibration and RFI/EMI.

Left untreated, these problems will damage sound quality by blurring timing, losing separation and adding brightness and hash. But with the Ultar, every element of sound quality, from timing to transparency, coherence to musicality, is significantly improved.

  • A passive conditioner that contains two (one per channel) acoustic absorption modules and passive EMI and RFI absorption materials and techniques.
  • Solid-core silver wiring throughout.
  • Suitable for both single-ended (jack lead) headphones and balanced (dual XLR) headphones.
  • The unit sits in-line with your feed from your amp to your 'phones.
  • Simply use an extra jack lead (or a pair of balanced leads) and feed your audio from your headphone amp into one socket and connect your ‘phones into the other socket.
  • Dimensions 185mm x 132mm x 120mm (LxWxH), weight 4Kg.

After 14 days the order enters our build-process and cannot be cancelled free of charge – our cancellation policy applies, with a refund minus 20% cancellation fee. Build Process, Packaging and Delivery:

Quiescent products are hand-built to order. Many of our techniques and processes are time-consuming and must be scheduled in a sequential manner, so during this time Quiescent will email you every Friday with progress updates. Once your order has passed quality assurance, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. All larger products are shipped in a purpose-built flight case that you should retain should you need to move or ship the item again in the future.

In the unlikely event that a Quiescent product fails to function perfectly, you will be able to return the item to us for repair under warranty using the process described in our Lifetime Support Agreement (LSA). The LSA (inc warranty) is transferable should you sell the item later; simply inform us of the new owner’s details so we can update our records.
