The purpose of any coupler is to remove unwanted vibration from the chassis of your equipment. But there’s a problem – most conventional couplers are essentially cylinders, cones or cubes – shapes that have an inherently resonant acoustic behaviour. So we build the Zenith coupler using 3D printing to produce non-parallel sides and disruptive surfaces that eliminate these problematic sonic characteristics. We then incorporate a low acoustic impedance spike which is connected to an internal disruptive labyrinth to create a support that is a hugely effective acoustic drain.
But we’ve added another unique feature – the use of the steel spike also allows us to incorporate a ‘lossy antenna’ RFI drain within each coupler. The tip of the coupler makes an electrical connection to the chassis of your equipment and the lossy antenna within. With three couplers all grounding RFI, the reduction in the chassis noise floor is considerable.
The result is an exceptional listening experience with a significant improvement in timing, bass, separation of instruments and vocals, image placement and transparency. And when multiple sets are used throughout a system, the results are remarkable.
